Daniele Doveri was the referee in charge of yesterday’s Serie A match between Parma and Inter Milan.

There were a few decisions that the experienced official had to make.

And on the major ones, Doveri got it right.

There was a VAR check on Marcus Thuram’s goal, Inter’s second in the match. But the refereeing team correctly allowed the goal.

Then, there were a few penalty appeals in the second half. And Doveri correctly waved them all away.

There were, however, some missed yellow cards from Daniele Doveri, in the view of the Corriere dello Sport.

Firstly, there was a late challenge by Lautaro Valenti on Kristjan Asllani.

Then, there was a late challenge by Hakan Calhanoglu on Hernani.

In the view of the Corriere, these were both late challenges without much thought of winning the ball. Therefore, they should have been yellow cards.

Then, there was a very late challenge by Nicola Zalewski on Mateo Pellegrino.

That saw the Pole receive a yellow card, which was correct. It could very well have been a straight red, however.
