Relief as missing Leeds United supporter Little Mick found safe in Barcelona | OneFootball

Michael “Little Mick” Hewitt, a Leeds United supporter, has been found safe and well in Barcelona, his family said.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the 65-year-old had travelled from Leeds to Barcelona last week to catch a connecting flight to Boston for England’s group-stage match against Ghana.

After his family received no contact for 10 days, he was reported missing and an appeal circulated widely across the media and football community.

The search ended positively when his brother, Gary Hewitt, confirmed on Wednesday morning that he had been located.

In a social media post, Gary said his brother was safe and well in Barcelona and had been unaware of the widespread search. He added that the family would share more once authorities were informed and thanked everyone who helped, saying the response showed what can be achieved when people pull together.
