Remo v Palmeiras was delayed in Belém after heavy rain flooded the Mangueirão, with kick-off reset for 17:40. Remo said in a post that Sunday’s match would now begin at that time.
The Brasileirão 15th-round fixture had been due to start at 16:00, but a storm left large areas of the pitch waterlogged.
The downpour began shortly before the scheduled start, officials inspected the surface and pushed back kick-off until conditions improved. Stadium staff worked to clear standing water across several sections.
Once the rain eased, both sides came out after 17:00 and completed their warm-ups.
It is not the first time Remo have been disrupted by rain in the league. On 11 April, in the 11th round, their match against Vasco was halted in Belém.
Belém has seen frequent rain in recent weeks. On Saturday 9, the Paysandu v Anápolis fixture in the city was also postponed.
