Inter Milan have recently joined the race to sign Liverpool center-back Ibrahima Konate on a Bosman deal next summer.

According to the Italian media via FCInter1908, the San Siro powerhouse have no chance of landing the Frenchman in January.

Despite his household status at Anfield, Ibrahima Konate could be on his way out at the end of the season.

Indeed, the 26-year-old’s contract expires next June, with the Reds unable to renew his deal.

Therefore, Beppe Marotta has added the former RB Leipzig star to his list of targets.

Konate’s €2.6 million annual wages are within Inter’s budget.

However, the player is trying to secure a bumper new deal on Merseyside.

Those figures are reportedly out of Inter’s reach, making it nearly impossible for the Nerazzurri to compete for Konate’s signature.

Furthermore, the Serie A leaders must also be wary of Bayern Munich’s interest in the French center-back.

Although Konate would be a major signing for Inter, his arrival appears to be rather complicated.
