Serie A title hopefuls Inter Milan have reportedly added Newell’s Old Boys teenagers Tomas Perez and Mateo Silvetti to their list of targets.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio via FCINterNews, the Italian giants have placed a watchful eye on the prodigious duo.

Assistant sporting director Dario Baccin embarked on a comprehensive scouting mission in South America toward the end of 2024.

Indeed, Baccin’s task was to find talented youngsters and report back to Beppe Marotta.

River Plate’s Franco Mastantuono was among the first hot prospects to catch Baccin’s attention.

However, his search stretched beyond the iconic Estadio Mas Monumental.

Newell’s Old Boys’ teen sensations have generated a genuine interest from Inter.

In fact, the Nerazzurri could soon open talks with the Argentine outfit for the two exciting up-and-comers.

Perez is a central midfielder. Despite his young age, he made 29 competitive appearances last term.

Meanwhile, Silvetti enjoyed a remarkable breakout season at the Estadio Marcelo Bielsa.

Indeed, the highly-rated winger tallied four goals in 12 league matches.

His exploits haven’t gone unnoticed, with Inter planning on making a formal approach in the coming weeks.

If everything goes to plan, they could soon meet their fellow countrymen, Lautaro Martinez and Tomas Palacios, in Italy.
