Liverpool are reportedly preparing an opening €60m bid for Juventus’ teenage sensation Kenan Yıldız as they look to strengthen their attacking options for the future. According to JuveFC.com, the Reds have been closely monitoring the 19-year-old and are ready to formalise their interest this summer. However, Juventus remain firm in their stance that Yıldız will not be sold for anything less than €100m.

Liverpool’s scouting team has been tracking Yıldız’s performances in Serie A, with representatives attending Juventus’ recent matches against Cagliari and Hellas Verona. JuveFC.com notes that the “scouting reports returned positive, so Liverpool are now preparing to launch a summer onslaught for Yıldız, beginning with an opening bid worth €60 million.”
Yıldız is one of Europe’s most exciting young talents, known for his versatility, technical proficiency, and goal-scoring ability. Standing at 1.87m, he can operate as a left winger, second striker, or attacking midfielder—qualities that make him an attractive prospect for Arne Slot’s evolving Liverpool side.
Despite Liverpool’s strong interest, Juventus are unwilling to part ways with their rising star easily. The report from JuveFC.com claims that “this figure (€60 million) won’t be enough to tempt Cristiano Giuntoli and company, who would only be willing to sit on the table and negotiate a sale if they were to receive a bid in the region of €100 million.”
Juventus’ reluctance is understandable. Yıldız has been entrusted with the club’s iconic number 10 shirt, a sign of their confidence in his ability to lead the team in the future. His current contract runs until June 2029, ensuring that Juventus hold the power in negotiations. Financially, he is on an estimated gross salary of €2.96 million for the 2024-25 season, equating to around €57,000 per week.
With Mohamed Salah’s future still uncertain and Darwin Núñez yet to fully establish himself as Liverpool’s long-term striker, adding a player of Yıldız’s profile could be a strategic move. The 19-year-old has already demonstrated his ability to step up on the big stage, making his senior debut for Turkey in November 2023 and marking the occasion with a goal against Germany.
His 41 appearances this season for Juventus, yielding six goals and four assists, suggest he is ready for a bigger role at a top European club. His ability to play across the front line would offer Liverpool tactical flexibility, particularly in a system that values pressing, technical ability, and fluid attacking movement.
Yıldız is an exciting prospect, but the price tag is a major talking point. Juventus’ reported €100m valuation is a steep figure for a 19-year-old who, while immensely talented, is still developing. The question is whether Liverpool would be willing to invest such a hefty sum or if they see an opportunity to negotiate a lower price.
Slot’s Liverpool are already an elite side, but smart recruitment has always been key to maintaining success. While Yıldız’s versatility is an attractive quality, spending €100m on an unproven youngster is a significant risk, especially with other pressing needs in midfield and defence.
There’s also the reality of competition. If Liverpool don’t move quickly, other European giants could enter the race, driving up his price even further. A more measured approach may be required—starting with the €60m bid and seeing how Juventus respond. If the Serie A side stands firm, Liverpool may have to decide whether Yıldız is worth breaking their usual transfer policy for.
Ultimately, if Liverpool secure Yıldız at a reasonable fee, he could be a game-changing signing for the club’s future. But if Juventus hold out for €100m, the Reds may be better off exploring alternative options.
