Juventus are preparing to offer Pierre Kalulu a contract extension until 2030 as they seek to fend off mounting Premier League interest, most notably from Manchester United. The update, first reported by TuttoSport, underlines how highly the French defender is valued in Turin.

Two club representatives are expected at San Siro on Saturday to observe him closely, a clear signal that admiration is being matched by action.
Under Luciano Spalletti, Kalulu has become a pillar of reliability. He is the only outfield player in the league not to have missed a single minute in all competitions this season, a remarkable testament to durability and consistency.
Kalulu, formerly of AC Milan and Olympique Lyonnais, has added attacking contribution to defensive assurance. Four assists and a crucial header against Lazio, levelling the score for Juventus, illustrate his expanding influence.

Juventus view him as integral. With discussions already under way, the club are ready to raise his salary from €2.4 million to €3.5 million per season. The intent is clear, reward performance, protect value and silence English sirens.
Kalulu is also tipped for a France call up ahead of the March friendlies, the final step before the World Cup. He hopes to experience that tournament with Didier Deschamps’s side. Given his form in black and white, omission would surprise many observers.
Juventus are moving swiftly. Extension talks reflect belief in a player entering his prime, and a determination not to lose momentum in squad building.
Manchester United require defensive depth, reliability and leadership. Kalulu appears to offer all three. Durability stands out. A defender who has not missed a minute in all competitions signals physical robustness and mental resilience.
United fans have watched defensive inconsistency undermine progress in recent seasons. Recruitment of players in their prime, with experience of Serie A’s tactical demands, would represent sensible planning.
However, Juventus moving quickly to extend until 2030 complicates matters. A higher salary strengthens their negotiating hand and raises any potential transfer fee. Supporters will question whether United are prepared to compete financially and decisively.
There is also admiration for Kalulu’s versatility and attacking contribution. Modern defenders must contribute in possession and in transition. His four assists and equalising header against Lazio show ambition as well as awareness.
If United’s interest is genuine, fans will expect clarity soon. Hesitation in the market has cost opportunities before. Kalulu’s situation underlines a wider theme, elite clubs act swiftly to secure core assets. United must decide whether to match that urgency or pivot elsewhere.
