From a Manchester United fan’s perspective, this saga is frustratingly familiar. United’s interest in Kolo Muani isn’t new, but the hesitance from Juventus might just open a door. United need more attacking variety, and Kolo Muani, with his mix of pace, power and pressing ability, offers something different. He’s not an out-and-out No.9 like Højlund, but he could operate across the front three, providing versatility and competition.

If PSG are keen to offload and Juventus continue dithering, United should strike. The price won’t be cheap, but with Financial Fair Play in mind, a structured deal could work. Unlike Spurs, who seem stocked in attack, United’s reliance on young or inconsistent forwards is glaring. Kolo Muani scored 10 goals and added 2 assists in six months at Juve. That’s efficient. He’s also international calibre, which is essential for a club aiming to challenge for the title.

In short, United can’t allow another potential asset to slip through their fingers while rivals strengthen. If the player is available, and motivated, Old Trafford should be an option. It might take moving quickly and decisively, something this United hierarchy hasn’t always done well. But in this case, they cannot afford to sit back.
