A remarkable report in La Stampa newspaper claims that Luciano Spalletti is ready to hand in his resignation if Juventus fail to qualify for the Champions League.
The coach only took the job on October 30, 2025, and signed a new deal to June 2028 just a few weeks ago.
Nonetheless, there are suggestions of tension between Spalletti and director Damien Comolli, with club patron and heir to the Agnelli family John Elkann forced to choose between them going forward.

Juve had been on the verge of securing a top four finish, but the 2-0 defeat to Fiorentina has seen them slip down to joint fifth with Como.
Going into the final weekend of the season, it will require Juventus to win the derby against Torino, and for at least one of Roma and Milan to slip up for them to get back into the Champions League.
According to La Stampa, Spalletti is prepared to hand in his resignation and walk away if he fails to guarantee their main objective for the campaign.
It is also entirely possible that Juve would reject his offer of resignation and convince the coach to stay with renewed powers to decide his squad.
