Real Madrid’s decision to sign a peace agreement with UEFA and EFC and kill the Super League project for good has been received well in Europe.

Barcelona’s acting president, Rafa Yuste, has welcomed the move, calling it an act of common sense.

Even Real Madrid’s former player Raphael Varane said he is excited about the road ahead after the club decided to sign the treaty with UEFA and EFC.

Rafael Louzan on Real Madrid’s deal

Now, RFEF president Rafael Louzan has become the latest personality to react to Real Madrid’s deal with UEFA.

In a recent interview (h/t AS), Louzan expressed his satisfaction regarding Real Madrid’s move, calling it a win-win situation for Spanish football.

“As a representative of Spanish football, I want to express my satisfaction, which I believe is clear, evident, and undeniable. Let’s continue on this path,” he said.

It must be noted that Real Madrid have been at loggerheads with Spanish football due to their steadfast support of the Super League project.

While Louzan is not as big an adversary to Real Madrid as La Liga president Javier Tebas, the deal is likely to bring Real Madrid closer to RFEF.

“As I’ve already said, just like at the RFEF, we all coexist and nothing bad happens. Anything can be discussed, and in the end, everything works out; this is the way forward,” he added.

Louzan went on to add that a club like Real Madrid deserve to be a central figure in European football planning while endorsing the EFC’s vision.

“A club in Spain and worldwide like Real Madrid has to be where all of football is. What Ceferin and Al Khelaifi said is very good for European football,” he said.

Finally, the RFEF president said Real Madrid’s decision was the right one as he thanked the club’s president, Florentino Perez.

“It’s the most important club competition in the world, and Real Madrid’s presence is important for everyone; it’s the right thing to do. I’m grateful for the generosity of Real Madrid and Florentino Perez in reaching this great agreement,” he concluded.
