Riyad Mahrez ‘in talks’ over Europe return with Fenerbahce | OneFootball

Riyad Mahrez is in discussions over a return to Europe, with Süper Lig club Fenerbahce pursuing a deal for next season, A Spor reports.

The outlet says talks are advanced, with the winger in direct contact to finalise terms, and a resolution could arrive in the coming days as the season winds down. Meanwhile, Sabah claims Fenerbahce view him as an ideal wing addition after judging Kerem Aktürkoglu, Nene, Anthony Musaba and Oğuz Aydin short of long-term aims.

Mahrez, 35, remains a key figure for Al-Ahli under head coach Matthias Jaissle, featuring regularly in domestic and continental fixtures.

He is contracted to Al Ahly until 2027, but, like former Al-Ittihad midfielder N’Golo Kanté, who recently moved to the league in Türkiye, he is hoping for a final European challenge before retirement.

Al-Ahli are preparing to face Al-Duhail in the next round of the AFC Champions League at Al-Inmaa Stadium.
