Arsenal host Paris Saint-Germain tonight in their second game of the Champions League group phase, and former Gunners star Robert Pires believes only three players from the Ligue 1 team are good enough to start for the North London club right now.

The French legend has named eight Arsenal stars in his combined XI for both teams ahead of their match while talking with 90min, picking David Raya ahead of his PSG counterpart Gianluigi Donnarumma in goal, and also opting for the centre-back duo of Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba ahead of Marquinhos and Willian Pacho.

However, Pires chose Achraf Hakimi ahead of Ben White at right-back and Nuno Mendes ahead of Riccardo Calafiori at left-back, suggesting the Morocco international is a better player than the £50 million Arsenal signing.

In midfield, he chose Gunners duo Declan Rice and Kai Havertz ahead of Vitinha and Warren Zaire-Emery, but picked Joao Neves ahead of Thomas Partey.

The former winger opted for an all-Arsenal attack, picking Bukayo Saka ahead of Ousmane Dembele, Gabriel Jesus ahead of Kolo Muani and Gabriel Martinelli over Bradley Barcola.

The game tonight promises to be exciting, but PSG could be weakened after manager Luis Enrique dropped Dembele from the squad to face the Gunners due to disciplinary reasons.

Arsenal started their European campaign with a goalless draw against Atalanta while the French champions secured a 1-0 victory over Girona.

Both will be gunning for all three points this evening, and one of them could see their unbeaten run across all competitions so far this term come to an end.

The Gunners could have both Mikel Merino and Takehiro Tomiyasu available for selection after they were seen in training yesterday, but White remains out of action due to injury.
