Rodri lets Barcelona know his transfer plans | OneFootball

Manchester City star Rodri has informed Barcelona, and all other suitors for that matter, that he has set his sights on a move to one club and one club only this summer.

The outfit in question? Real Madrid.

Midfielder Rodri has seen his name continue to dominate the media headlines in his home country of Spain over recent days. This comes after word was forthcoming that the aforementioned Barcelona had joined the race for his signature.

Ahead of the expiration of the 30-year-old’s contract terms in Manchester in 12 months’ time, Rodri is widely expected to be on the move before the summer is out.

Barca, after seeing Frenkie de Jong struck down by an injury setback, are in turn understood to have set their sights on the services of the Ballon d’Or winner.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word doing the rounds on Tuesday is anything to go by, then the Blaugrana need not get their hopes up when it comes to potentially bringing Rodri in over the weeks ahead.

As per a report from Diario AS:

‘The City player has no doubts and is only considering one option. If he ends up leaving Manchester, there is only one possible destination for him: Real Madrid. The midfielder, despite interest from several clubs, prioritizes wearing the white shirt.’

Real, it is added, are hopeful of bringing Rodri back to La Liga for a sum in the region of  €60 million.
