Rodrigo Mora picked up an injury against Stuttgart. He is expected to be available for the home meeting with Famalicão on Saturday, though planning is cautious with Gabri Veiga suspended.
According to O Jogo, the No 86, like Diogo Costa, remains in treatment, yet both are tracking the timeline set out by Francesco Farioli.
Beyond the prolonged absences of Samu, Luuk de Jong and Nehuén Pérez, both Diogo Costa and Mora are still managing muscle issues.
The goalkeeper has an adductor problem, linked to lower back pain in the final week before the break, while the midfielder’s issue is in his left thigh.
The problems are not considered worrying and Farioli’s timeline keeps Mora in contention, yet alternatives are being weighed.
Veiga will definitely miss out after completing a run of five yellow cards in Braga. Mora is the natural replacement for the Galician, and if his recovery slows, Seko Fofana, currently with Ivory Coast, or Pablo Rosario, with the Dominican Republic, could come in.
With Nottingham not visiting until 8 April, managing the squad around these decisions is eased.
