Roger Ricort has returned to OGC Nice as sporting director after 17 years away, tasked with finding €70m in savings with five weeks left of the window.
According to L'Équipe, his comeback is framed as a bid to reconnect with the club’s DNA.

In late June, he stepped into the glass half-dome that fronts the club’s training centre, inaugurated in 2017. He had never worked there.
His previous spell ended in 2009. For the former player and executive, it felt like coming home.
Ricort held a press conference on 8 July.
