Dreaming costs nothing, and even Gasperini admitted it’s right to do so in these situations.
After a great performance in Cremona—and Inter’s misstep in the Derby della Madonnina—Roma officially sits alone in first place with 27 points after 12 Serie A games.
This hasn’t happened in a full twelve years: the last time was in the 2013-14 season under Rudi Garcia, when they had 32 points, one ahead of an incredible Juventus (who finished the season with 102 points).
For now, it’s just a dream, but the team is certainly growing game after game, interpreting Gian Piero Gasperini’s concepts to the fullest.
Now the mission is to get back on track and climb the Europa League standings starting Thursday: Midtjylland, surprisingly top of the table with a perfect record, arrive at the Olimpico.
