The World Cup shines a spotlight on several players, who, if they capitalize on the opportunity, stand out, attracting the attention of major clubs.
This is similar to what’s happening to Gustavo Puerta, a key figure in the World Cup with his Colombia team.
The Racing midfielder, who plays in Liga 2 with Racing, finished the season with 33 appearances, three goals, one assist, and a staggering 14 yellow cards. The 2002-born player has ended up on Tony D’Amico’s radar.
As reported by Gianluigi Longari of Sportitalia, the Colombian midfielder is popular with Porto and, in Italy, is being pursued by Roma and Atalanta.
The Giallorossi currently have other priorities: contract renewals (Dybala, Pellegrini, Celik), capital gains by June 30th (Soulé), and Mason Greenwood, Gasperini’s dream.
From the beginning of July, however, Tony D’Amico will focus on strengthening the squad, not only in attack but also in midfield, and the 2002-born player’s potential is worth monitoring.
