Roma are looking to make Gourna-Douath’s signing permanent.
The French midfielder joined the club on loan from Salzburg in January with a buy option set at 19 million euros.

The fee, however, is deemed excessive by Roma who would like to lower it in order to keep Gourna-Douath beyond the expiry of his loan.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma and Salzburg continue their discussions in order to reach an agreement in the coming weeks.
New developments are expected in the coming days, also because the squad will have to be modeled according to the specific requests of Gian Piero Gasperini.
The goal is to build a competitive team that is ready right away, also taking advantage of possible opportunities in foreign leagues.
