Roma consider Montella as plan B to Gasperini | OneFootball

Roma have identified in Gian Piero Gasperini their top candidate to replace Claudio Ranieri at the end of the season.

If the first choice still remains the Atalanta coach, the alternative is called Vincenzo Montella.

The former Roma player and coach could return to the capital, ready to lead the team after a long experience abroad.

Montella, who has already been part of Roma as a player, having contributed significantly to the victory of the 2001 Scudetto, is ahead of other names, such as Maurizio Sarri, and would be available to return in June, leaving the leadership of Turkey to face a new, stimulating challenge.
