Florent Ghisolfi pointed his finger at the referees, asserting that they have contributed to Roma’s poor start this season. He spoke to Corriere dello Sport.
“There were seven clear errors against us, all recognized by the national newspapers and TV shows. In none of them, the VAR warned the referee. They would have gone differently if it did. We have complained just once after the Monza match.”
Ghisolfi agrees with Antonio Conte about the protocol.
“I’m on the same page substantially. We don’t accept this kind of error and demand to be respected by the officials and the governing bodies, especially at a time when blunders can be fixed by the technology. We want to play the football of present times and not the one of absolute subjectivity. The instrument has to be updated and made fool-proof. We have always collaborated, also during meetings. We tried to make them listen to our reasons despite not sharing some viewpoints.” “Some mistakes can compromise an entire season. For instance, what would have happened if we were awarded a PK in the Europa League final? That changed our history and our present. In the long haul, staying silent doesn’t pay off.”
Ghisolfi addressed the recent clash with Napoli.

We have always been respectful but haven’t been reciprocated. We demand equity, uniformity, justice, and more VAR reviews.” “Dan and Ryan Friedkin will be in Rome soon. They don’t fear dissent and know when to take responsibility. They aren’t pleased, obviously.”
