Roma legend Francesco Totti: “Paulo Dybala is the best in Serie A” | OneFootball

Serie A side Roma have enjoyed Paulo Dybala for over two seasons now and club legend Francesco Totti has now stated that the Argentine is the best player in the Serie A right now.

La Joya has been vital for the Giallorossi in recent weeks, sparkling against Monza and Venezia, having grabbed a brace against Parma towards the end of the year. He also grabbed a vital brace against Porto in the Europa League play-offs second leg.

Totti spoke to Viva el Futbol about a host of things about his career, his return to the game and how things are in Serie A. He stated that Dybala is one player who resembles his playing style most in the Serie A right now.

He said, via TMW: “He is the player who most resembles me today, I struggle to find others in Serie A. Paulo is a true talent, not only in Italy. In my time there were many, today there are 5 or 6 like him in the world. One of these is Yamal. Dybala is fine now, he doesn’t struggle and he doesn’t stop.”

Speaking further about Dybala’s stature in the Serie A, the Roma legend said: “In Serie A he is the best, but there are too few in Italy. Guardiola and Baggio once played for Brescia, today not even their names are known.”

In all competitions this season, Dybala has scored eight goals and has racked up four assists. Last season, he scored 13 times in the league and racked up nine assists. This came after a season where he had scored 12 league goals for the Roman giants.

He does all of this despite being plagued by muscle injuries and it speaks volumes about his abilities.
