Roma president Dan Friedkin has reportedly expressed his preference for Roma’s next head coach.
It’s still January, but Roma are already forced to think about next summer, when Claudio Ranieri will leave the Giallorossi bench and officially become a senior executive at the club.
Many names have been mentioned in recent weeks, including Allegri, Montella and Farioli.
For some time now, the name of Ancelotti has also started to circulate, as the veteran technician could leave Madrid at the end of the season.
Sky Sport journalist Paolo Assogna confirmed this, in an interview with Radio Manà Manà Sport.
According to the Assogna, Dan Friedkin would like the former Milan and Napoli coach on the Giallorossi bench.
This is a complicated operation, however, as Ancelotti himself, as stated on several occasions, would like to continue with the Blancos for a long time.
Furthermore, the coach is still shaken by his last experience in Serie A with Napoli, and is not convinced about returning to Italy.
