Rui Borges on Sporting v FC Porto: “It’s not a decisive match”

After Sporting's 3-2 victory over AVS SAD in the quarter-finals of the Portuguese Cup, Rui Borges was present in the press room. The coach was asked about the upcoming match against FC Porto, scheduled for next Monday:

“We will do everything to win the game. It is not a decisive match. For me, it isn’t. Because there are still many games left. I have already given our example from last season several times. Football changes everything very quickly. Teams are becoming more and more competitive, they want points, they need them, and they will fight for those points. It’s an important game, I understand – the first and second place teams – but it is not a decisive match.”
