Ryunosuke Sato bids farewell to FC Tokyo ahead of Valencia move

Ryunosuke Sato will join Valencia in the coming days, becoming the club’s first Japanese first-team player. According to AS, he will arrive at Mestalla after a farewell in Tokyo attended by more than 500 supporters.

Valencia will pay more than €3 million for the 19-year-old, who has been with FC Tokyo since he was 10.

Addressing fans, Sato thanked them for their support since joining the academy’s Advanced Class at age 10 and said the club holds a special place in his heart. He pledged to keep working to the maximum and asked supporters to continue backing him.

Valencia have already announced the signing of De Haas. Dieng and Guido Rodríguez, along with Sato, are yet to be confirmed.

The new arrivals are expected to link up with Carlos Corberán in the coming days and begin pre-season with their new team.
