Samu reacted emotionally after confirmation he suffered a serious knee injury in the first half of FC Porto-Sporting, which will rule him out for the rest of the season.
He was withdrawn at half-time of the 1-1 draw.

The player said in a post that he is devastated and struggling to process the news. He added he cannot help the team on the pitch and will instead support as a fan, and that trusting in God’s plan and staying positive will help him return stronger. He thanked supporters for their messages.
The Spanish forward has a right-knee sprain with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, an injury similar to the one Luuk de Jong suffered at the start of the season.
He will undergo further tests and seek additional opinions before deciding whether to have surgery.
