Santos have yet to decide how Neymar will be reintegrated after the World Cup, with the forward in the United States with Brazil and the club waiting for the campaign to finish.
Ancelotti's side face Norway in the last 16 on Sunday at 17:00. If Brazil reach the final, Neymar would stay with the squad until 19 July. According to Globo.com, the club will only map out his return once the tournament is over.
Cuca said they do not know whether he will be back this weekend or only after the World Cup, and that any comeback should include a rest period aligned to the calendar.
Neymar missed Brazil's first two matches, appeared for 14 minutes in the 3-0 win over Scotland in the final group round, then remained on the bench for the victory over Japan in the second phase.
His last Santos outing was on 17 May, a defeat to Coritiba in the Brasileirão, when he sustained a grade 2 strain in his right calf that kept him out of four games before the season pause.
He has made 15 appearances for Santos in 2026, scoring six and assisting four. His contract runs to the end of December, he can already sign a pre-contract, and talks with FC Cincinnati were recently dropped as the club remain confident he will see out the deal.
