Santos have honoured goalkeeper Gabriel Brazão for reaching 100 appearances. According to Diario Do Peixe, the club staged a tribute at Vila Belmiro.

He hit the mark in the 2-2 draw with Mirassol on Tuesday 10 March, in the fifth round of the Brasileirão. Mascots wore goalkeeper gloves and personalised shirts paying homage to the keeper.

On Thursday 12 March, he received a personalised shirt and a special plaque, and his wife gifted a number 100 kit.

He has been first-choice for two years wearing number 77. He drew interest from Flamengo, clubs in England and Beşiktaş, Türkiye, but chose to stay. Taffarel is due to watch him against Corinthians on Sunday 15 at 16:00 at Vila Belmiro in the sixth round.

Signed in February 2024, he debuted after João Paulo’s Achilles injury in a 2-1 loss to América-MG on 24 May in Série B and kept the shirt, playing 31 games that year. In 2025 he featured in 38 Brasileirão rounds, 13 Paulista matches, two Copa do Brasil ties and two friendlies, and this year has started five league and nine Paulistão games, with a contract to December 2028.

The 25-year-old from Uberlândia came through Cruzeiro’s academy, then joined Parma in 2019 with spells at Spal, Inter de Milão and Ternara. He also played in Spain for Albacete and Oviedo, earned Brazil under-17 and under-20 call-ups and one senior call-up in 2018. After leaving Inter de Milão, Santos acquired 30% of his economic rights.
