Santos in talks over new Gabriel Bontempo contract | OneFootball

According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos are negotiating another contract renewal with attacking midfielder Gabriel Bontempo, which would be his fourth in nearly two years.

He signed through to the end of 2026 in late 2024, extended that deal in February 2025 to 2027, then agreed fresh terms in May last year to 2028, his current contract.

Talks between the board and the player's representatives cover the sporting project, the term and other details. In the meantime, the Menino da Vila remains available to coach Cuca and has been among their key performers.

His season started slowly after a septoplasty, then a muscle oedema, but since returning he has kept a starting berth.

This year he has one goal and one assist in three Paulistão outings, plus six appearances in the Brasileiro. Promoted after the Copinha last year, he made his debut in the Paulistão and has not returned to the academy.

Bontempo has four goals in 49 senior games. A fan of Neymar and Coutinho, he was born in Uberaba, Minas Gerais, and is 21. He passed a trial in 2015 and has grown with the Alvinegro for a decade.
