Santos name squad for Flamengo trip with Neymar Jr and Rony suspended | OneFootball

Santos have named their squad for Sunday’s Brasileirão trip to Flamengo at the Maracanã, in the 10th round, kick-off 17:30.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the group comprises three goalkeepers, four centre-backs, two full-backs, eight midfielders and six forwards, with Gabriel Barbosa back after a leg muscle problem.

There are several absences. Right-backs Igor Vinicius, with a small oedema in the right quadriceps, and Mayke, continuing recovery from a PRP procedure with corticosteroid in the knee, are out.

Midfielder Gabriel Menino is recovering from a muscle injury in the back of the right thigh, and attacking midfielder Miguelito is being protected due to discomfort. Neymar Jr and Rony are suspended after a third yellow card, while left-back Vinicius Lira is sidelined following an ACL injury.

Squad: goalkeepers Gabriel Brazão, Diógenes and Rodrigo Falcão. Centre-backs Lucas Veríssimo, Luan Peres, Zé Ivaldo and Adonis Frias. Full-backs Escobar and Rafael Gonzaga.

Midfielders Christian Oliva, Gustavo Henrique, Gabriel Bontempo, Zé Rafael, Willian Arão, Tomás Rincón, João Schmidt and Rollheiser. Forwards Thaciano, Gabriel Barbosa, Robinho Jr, Barreal, Lautaro Díaz and Moisés.
