São Paulo left Alisson out of the squad to face São Bernardo at Morumbis on Thursday night, with Corinthians interested and a deal considered possible.
According to Globo.com, Corinthians’ new football executive Marcelo Paz has made a fresh enquiry, mirroring contact a week ago.
Although he is fond of the club, the 32-year-old accepts his opportunities have diminished under Hernán Crespo in recent times, so a move could happen. Two options are on the table, a player swap or a transfer for a fixed fee.
Corinthians do not plan to include pillars of their Copa do Brasil campaign, such as Raniele and José Martínez, who were sounded out. As a result, the list of names offered so far has not convinced, which remains the sticking point.
Alisson, converted from forward to midfielder under Dorival Júnior, is highly regarded by the coach. He is 32 and under contract with São Paulo until the end of 2027. After Wednesday’s defeat to Bragantino, Dorival said only that Alisson is a great player at a rival and that talks between the clubs are proceeding normally and with respect.
At Parque São Jorge, Alisson has been discussed for some time and there is positive acceptance of the potential reinforcement.
