Buoyed by a 2-1 win over Torino in midweek Coppa Italia action, Inter cruised to another dominant league triumph yesterday.

Indeed, Cristian Chivu’s free-scoring side netted 5+ goals for the second time in their last three Serie A fixtures.

Meanwhile, Federico Dimarco emerged as a difference-maker once again, providing three assists.

Furthermore, Lautaro Martinez continued his way up in the club’s list of scorers, drawing level with Roberto Boninsegna.

El Toro’s 14th Serie A goal of the season marked his 171st competitive goal in the Nerazzurri shirt.

Therefore, he’s now the club’s third-best goalscorer behind the legendary duo, Giuseppe Meazza and Sandro Altobelli.

As for Bisseck, he opened the scoring with a thumping close-range header, bagging his second goal of the season.

Sassuolo never stood a chance, as Inter completed only their third league double over the Nerazzurri in emphatic fashion.

In doing so, Chivu’s charges have steered eight points clear of runners-up AC Milan, though the Rossoneri have a game in hand.

However, another eye-catching performance reinforced Inter’s status as the leading Scudetto contenders.

“We want to win every match,” Bisseck said after the game. “Apart from the first 10 minutes, we played a very serious game.

“We need to keep this up, stay focused, and show that we are the strongest.”

There’s no time for celebration, as the Nerazzurri must prepare for the upcoming home clash against Juventus.

“It will take a very focused and very ruthless Inter,” the German added. “We know they are strong, and so are we.

“It will be a tough game, but we are ready, and we’re top of the table. We’ll see.”
