Premier League football tips and predicitions

12:30 - Burnley v Chelsea: Back Blues bet builder

Mark O'Haire: Across the campaign, no side has taken fewer shots, returned a lower xG figure, faced more shots, conceded a higher xG figure and had less of the ball than Burnley. The Clarets are also rock-bottom on xP, allowed the most Big Chances and have lost the xG battle in 9/11, the shots in the box count in 9/11 as well as the corner battle in 10/11.

That sort of data is bound to plunge Burnley into trouble and a match-up with Chelsea is unlikely to yield positive results on Saturday. The Blues have bagged top honours in all four of their fixtures against teams in 15th or below this term, racking up 13 goals in the process and come into this contest off back-to-back league wins without conceding.

It's difficult to see Burnley making in-roads against the Blues and so backing Chelsea to Win, Chelsea Most Corners and Chelsea Most Shots on-Target holds plenty of appeal at 2.26 via the Bet Builder. The Clarets lost the cumulative corner and shots on-target counts 2-19 and 0-12 when hosting Arsenal and Liverpool.

15:00 - Fulham v Sunderland: Back Berge to go in the book

Mark Stinchcombe: As soon as I saw this fixture a player match-up leapt off the page - and that is in the midfield between Fulham's Sander Berge and Sunderland's Granit Xhaka. Berge has eight yellow cards since he joined the Cottagers last season and loves getting stuck in, averaging 2.4 tackles and fouls per-game. Xhaka has already picked up four yellow cards since returning to the Premier League where he previously collected 61 cards across seven seasons with Arsenal.

He likes to get stuck in even more averaging 3.2 tackles and fouls per-game. Very much looking forward to Berge and Xhaka going head-to-head here. Referee Darren England is showing the sixth most yellows per-game this season.

15:00 - Liverpool v Nottm Forest - Alan Shearer's prediction

I watched Liverpool in the Champions League [against Real Madrid] and they were unbelievable, then they go to Man City and were really poor. Difficult to call here but they'll think this is a great opportunity to get their season up and running. They've a great chance being at home after the international break. I'll go for a Liverpool win. It's a great chance for them to get back to winning ways.

Nottingham Forest will sit and try to frustrate, then they have the players to hit you on the break with pace and that's what gave them a lot of success last year. Sean going there will realise and know that so they'll try to make it very hard and frustrating for Liverpool.

Alan's Prediction:Liverpool Win

15:00 - Bournemouth v West Ham: Back Cherries win

The Opta Stat: West Ham's Nuno Espírito Santo has never beaten Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola in four attempts in the Premier League (D2 L2); only against Jürgen Klopp has Santo managed more games in the competition without ever winning (7), while Iraola has only faced Eddie Howe (5) more times without ever losing.

West Ham have only failed to score in one of their 16 Premier League games against Bournemouth, a 2-0 defeat at the Vitality Stadium in January 2019.

17:30 - Newcastle v Manchester City: 11/4 Draw stands out

Dave Tindall: If widening the lens on Newcastle's home record, it's stronger than the bare Premier League table suggests. Their only losses so far have been 2-1 to Barcelona, 2-1 to Arsenal and 3-2 to Liverpool. Against the Gunners they were ahead with six minutes to play while against Arne Slot's champions the Magpies were stunned in injury-time after heroically battling back from 2-0 down to 2-2 when playing with 10 men.

As well as the Premier League victories over Wolves, Nottingham Forest and Fulham, also at St James' this season you'll find League Cup successes over Bradford and Tottenham and Champions League victories against Benfica and Athletic Bilbao. There's certainly enough there to suggest they can give City a real run and the 11/4 Draw looks worth a play.

EFL tips and predictions

12:30 Championship - Coventry v WBA: Back Lampard's Sky Blues

Jack Critchley: Coventry went into the November international break with a five-point cushion, having amassed 34 points across their first 15 games. The Sky Blues have been scoring for fun, yet, defensively, they've been solid at home, conceding just four times at the CBS. Although some of their performances at the end of October weren't particularly convincing, they were back to their best last time out as they edged out Stoke in Staffordshire. That was their seventh clean sheet of the season, and they should relish the chance to face a side who have struggled to convert their chances...

West Brom went into the international break with a victory over Oxford, yet very few fans will be satisfied with 14th place in mid-November. Goals have become an issue for the Baggies, and the travelling fans have had very little to cheer recently. They haven't netted more than a single goal in an away game since August 16th and have failed to notch in three of their last four. Finding a way past a dominant and confident Coventry side could be tricky.

15:00 League 1 - Wycombe v Lincoln: Back hosts in 42/1 acca

Alan Dudman: Lincoln have failed to score in each of their last three away league games (D1 L2), last failing to score in four in succession in the EFL between March and April 2003 (4 games) but that's not to say they are not a bet here.

The hosts are in a fair run of form and since Michael Duff took over, the results have a more solid look to their scoresheet, but the price here looks too short considering their respective League One positions: with Lincoln in second and Wycombe in 14th.

The Imps have been disappointing on the road of late including a narrow loss at Orient (and Wycombe thrashed Orient 4-1), but Lincoln's defensive record of conceding just seven on the road all season should keep them in the game here.

European football tips and predictions

Kevin Hatchard: For the first time in 909 days, Barcelona will play at their traditional Camp Nou home on Saturday, bringing to an end their exile at Montjuic's Olympic Stadium. A costly renovation that took far longer than expected is not yet complete, and less than half of the capacity is currently available, but the first stage of the return is finally at hand.

On the pitch, Barca made up ground on Real Madrid in the title race before the international break, as they won 4-2 at Celta Vigo, while Los Merengues were held to a goalless draw at Rayo Vallecano. The gap is now down to three points...Barca have won nine of their last 11 La Liga games against Athletic, and I think they'll win here with room to spare against a team that has been missing key players through injury in almost every game. Seven of Barca's 11 competitive wins this season have been by a margin of two goals or more, and I'll back them -1.5 on the Asian Handicap here at 2.2 on the Exchange.
