Saudi Arabia have confirmed their 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Greek head coach Giorgos Donis naming a largely domestically based group for the tournament in North America.

The squad features just one player based outside the Saudi Pro League, with Roma defender Saud Abdulhamid the sole overseas selection. The full-back, who spent time on loan at Lens last season, brings valuable European experience to the group.

Al-Hilal provide the biggest contingent with seven players included, while Al-Nassr contribute six and Al-Qadisiyah supply four, underlining the dominance of the Saudi top flight in Donis’ selection.

Experienced winger Salem Al-Dawsari will once again captain the side. The 34-year-old is set to appear at his third World Cup, having previously featured in both 2018 and 2022.

Saudi Arabia have been drawn in Group H, where they face a challenging set of fixtures against Uruguay, Spain and Cabo Verde. Their campaign begins on 15 June against Uruguay, before meetings with Spain and Cabo Verde later in the group stage.

The World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, kicks off on 11 June as Saudi Arabia aim to make an impact on the global stage once again.
