Manchester City have secured the long-term future of Brazilian winger Savinho (21), who has signed a new deal keeping him at the Etihad Stadium until 2031, Sky Sports reports. The 21-year-old, who joined City from French side Troyes last season, had been the subject of strong interest from Tottenham in the summer. However, his commitment to Pep Guardiola’s side ends any speculation about a move elsewhere.

Savinho, who has quickly emerged as one of Europe’s most exciting young attacking talents, expressed his pride at extending his stay. “It’s a very special feeling to know that Pep and the club have placed such faith in me. I’m still young and hungry to improve, and working under Pep will only help me develop further,” he said.

Since arriving in Manchester, Savinho has impressed with his flair, direct running, and eye for goal. Last season, he registered three goals and 13 assists in 48 appearances across all competitions, while he has also earned senior international recognition with Brazil, making his debut in 2024.

Guardiola is believed to see Savinho as a long-term successor to City’s wide attacking options, praising his versatility and intelligence both on and off the ball. Savinho will now be hoping to establish himself as a key figure in Manchester City’s pursuit of domestic and European dominance.
