Scotland produced a dominant first-half masterclass to cruise past Bolivia 4-0 in New Jersey, rounding off their World Cup warm-up schedule in style ahead of next week’s tournament opener against Haiti.
Steve Clarke’s side were in complete control from the off at the Sports Illustrated Stadium, with Lawrence Shankland heading home inside five minutes to set the tone.
Scott McTominay doubled the advantage soon after, finishing smartly after a clever setup from Shankland in a slick attacking move.
Che Adams then took centre stage, striking twice before the break to put the game well beyond Bolivia’s reach. His first came from a well-delivered cross by Ben Gannon-Doak, before he added a second with a powerful finish after sustained pressure from the Scots.
Despite Clarke making several changes after half-time, Scotland stayed comfortable and managed the game without too much trouble. Bolivia struggled to create anything meaningful, with the Tartan Army defence largely untested throughout the second half.
The result follows another convincing win over Curaçao and gives Scotland plenty of confidence heading into their first World Cup appearance since 1998.
