Senegal’s national airline has confirmed the arrival in Morocco of the supporter who became famous for shining laser during previous clash with Egypt ahead of Wednesday’s AFCON 2025 semi final in Tangier.

Air Sénégal announced that the fan, widely identified as Mouhamed Saliou Ndiaye has reached Moroccan soil to back the Lions of Teranga in their showdown with Egypt at the Grand Stade de Tanger.

The story first gained traction after the airline posted images on X asking followers to help locate the supporter and promising him all expenses paid trip to Morocco.

Ndiaye became viral figure during the 2022 World Cup qualifier between Senegal & Egypt when he was seen directing laser pointer toward Mohamed Salah during the penalty shootout.

“He left unforgettable impression during our last meeting with Egypt” Air Sénégal wrote. “Since then, an entire nation has been convinced: he is our lucky charm”

Within hours, the airline confirmed success, Ndiaye had been found and flown in to support Senegal in one of the tournament’s biggest fixtures.
