Lazio proved how much they will miss Taty Castellanos and lost Fisayo Dele-Bashiru to injury too in this disappointing goalless draw away to Venezia.

The Aquile missed suspended Nicolò Rovella, injured Taty Castellanos, Matias Vecino and Elseid Hysaj as they tried to recapture fourth spot. Venezia sat in penultimate place with three draws in the last eight rounds, but Filip Stankovic, Michel Svoboda, Domen Crnigoj and Richie Sagrado were out of action.

Gustav Isaksen’s curler from distance was palmed over the bar, but Mirko Maric should’ve put Venezia in front when nodding the Alessio Zerbin free kick wide of the near post.

Joel Schingtienne also failed to get his header on target from point-blank range, while Christos Mandas made a decisive fingertip save to push the Gaetano Oristanio daisy-cutter round the base of the near post.

Venezia looked more likely to score as the game wore on, Yeboah firing over on the counter and the Zerbin angled drive deflected just wide.
