Sevilla finalising move for Marseille’s Neal Maupay | OneFootball

Sevilla are finalising a move to sign Olympique de Marseille’s Neal Maupay (29), according to a report from Foot Mercato. 

Maupay has been on the fringes at Marseille all season. Despite his move from Everton being made permanent in the summer, it was quickly apparent that he had no future at the Vélodrome and he was consigned to training with the reserves. 

He has played just three games for the first team all season, but it was thought that Robinio Vaz’s recent exit for AS Roma could have provided a reprieve. Ultimately, that will not be the case. As per Foot Mercato, talks with Sevilla have reached an advanced stage. 

Whilst OM initially wanted a permanent transfer, Sevilla are set to sign the Frenchman on a loan deal, as they had wished initially. Maupay, who has also been a target for Paris FC, now looks all set for a move to La Liga.
