FLW rounds-up the latest news surrounding the Blades.
Sheffield United finally appear to be on the up with Chris Wilder back at the helm.
The Blades have won three games on the spin in the second-tier to propel themselves out of the bottom three and up to 19th in the table.
It included two thumping 3-0 wins over Sheffield Wednesday and Portsmouth, before edging Leicester City 3-2 after taking a three-goal lead at the break in the East Midlands.
The Yorkshire outfit sit 10 points away from the top six, but that gap could be bridged further if they keep up the impressive run of form and performances they have produced recently.
It now seems like Sheffield United are clicking and getting back to the ways under Wilder that saw the club reach the play-off final last term, and confidence will only exude as they prepare to face high-flying Stoke City at Bramall Lane on Saturday afternoon.
Here at FLW, we bring you the latest news surrounding the Blades.

Sheffield United are putting plans in place to tie down all of Patrick Bamford, Jairo Riedewald, Gus Hamer and Tyrese Campbell to long-term contracts.
Bamford and Riedewald arrived at Bramall Lane this term and had a massive impact on the team, with the former netting in their Steel City derby victory over Sheffield Wednesday, while Riedewald has added an extra layer of protection to the backline in a number six role.
And as per the Yorkshire Post, Blades boss Chris Wilder has confirmed the club is in the process of getting them to extend their stays beyond their current short-term deals.
Wilder said: "There's been contact, first of all, from myself to the player – do you want to?
“And I believe they're all over coming (back) and why shouldn't they be?
"They've been outstanding. I've been delighted with the contributions of both of the guys.
"I personally don't want to lose both of those guys. So, it's up to us now to find a common ground with those boys, in terms of (contract) length and in terms of, obviously, the details of the contract.
"(Chief executive) Stephen Bettis is working hard. The board have backed it as well. I think they understand the importance of the two boys and the contributions they've already made."
Meanwhile, in a separate report by the Sheffield Star, Wilder outlined the club were hopeful of getting first-team regulars Gus Hamer and Tyrese Campbell to put pen to paper on new deals too.
Hamer and Campbell have both played their best football under the guidance of Wilder, with the forward netting 10 times last season and already having five to his name this campaign, while Hamer was touted for a move to the Premier League the summer gone following his influence in getting the Blades to the play-off final last season.
Sheffield United have reportedly made contact with the representatives of Campbell and Hamer, as the duo enter the final 18 months of their current deals, which are currently set to expire in the summer of 2027.
Wilder added: “I've pushed that button already on both those players. We don't really want to lose players to frees. Unfortunately, sometimes they run it down and that's difficult.
“Then you think there has to be a succession plan in terms of where you work off the back of that. But we've already pushed that button with Gus's agent and Ty's agent and seen what the feedback and enthusiasm is back off them.
“I like to think there will be, from the players' point of view, in terms of us being ambitious and trying to win games and improve our league position and, ultimately, what happens off the back of that. They've been outstanding for me. They've not had a good start to the season.
“I've got to say, I was a little bit disappointed with them because I think that regardless of what happens, they're key players, they're big characters, they're big influencers. But we've got over that and getting Gus back is huge for us.”

Meanwhile, a reunion between Sheffield United and Jack Robinson during the January transfer window has been quashed.
The central defender left Bramall Lane to join Birmingham City on deadline day this summer, but has only made four Championship appearances in the Second City, partly due to receiving two red cards in that time.
A report by Football Insider recently claimed the Blades were looking to bring the centre-half back to Sheffield in January, but the Sheffield Star has now ruled out this happening at all.
Multiple sources have informed The Star that Robinson isn’t an option being considered by the Yorkshire outfit at the turn of the new year.
A new defender is likely to be on Wilder’s wishlist though, as loan duo Tyler Bindon and Ben Godfrey could return to their parent clubs, but one thing for certain is that Robinson won’t be the man to replace them.

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has admitted he is delighted to have recruited a natural number nine in the form of Patrick Bamford, with his other forward options unable to lead the line on their own.
In a report by the Yorkshire Post, Wilder commented on his frustration at the club for not replacing Kieffer Moore not after the Welshman departed for Wrexham this summer, particularly as he sees Tyrese Campbell as a player who can stretch defences by running the channels, while Danny Ings and Tom Cannon operate best off a target man.
So from this, Wilder has expressed his relief at filling such a gaping hole at the top end of the pitch.
Wilder said: "I think English number nines are very hard to source. We've got a young one in the building (One) that is learning his trade. We think he is going to have a really good career but maybe not learning on the job at the moment because needs must."
"You see what Arsenal have got, they got in (Viktor) Gyokeres. I'm sure that two or three years ago people would have been scratching their heads saying what are Arsenal doing getting somebody who's played in Portugal, played in the Championship, and he's playing for arguably the best team in the country?
"There's the boy at Newcastle (Nick Woltemade), what Brentford have done, Danny Welbeck at Brighton in this so-called unbelievable footballing team, and the biggest one is obviously the player at Manchester City (Erling Haaland).
"I definitely think there's a place for a number nine. I've always loved the number nine.
"It's crucial, from my point of view, that we play the game three different ways if we have to, we're not just stuck into this one way of playing. If we have to play through teams, around teams or over teams, we'll do that.
