Sheffield Wednesday are subject to a takeover proposal led by David Storch
Sheffield Wednesday are undergoing the process of a change in ownership after going into administration in October.
Significant financial mismanagement under Dejphon Chansiri has hampered the team, with the Owls suffering relegation to League One for next season as a result.
A number of key players departed last summer, along with promising young coach Danny Rohl, and transfer restrictions led to a lack of replacements.
But a new dawn is on the horizon at Hillsborough, with David Storch leading a group, Arise Capital, who have been named as the new preferred bidders by administrators Begbies Traynor.
The group is now seeking ratification from the EFL in order to finalise their purchase of the Yorkshire outfit.
Here we take a look at all the latest news surrounding the takeover situation at Sheffield Wednesday.

Henrik Pedersen took charge at Sheffield Wednesday in the summer, but his future has become the subject of speculation with a change in ownership on the horizon.
According to The Star, Arise Capital are set to keep the Dane at the helm to oversee their rebuild of the first team squad.
The Owls have won just once since he replaced Rohl ahead of the campaign, but financial troubles have clearly hampered his ability to field a competitive side.
And it is now expected that he will be given a fresh chance to show what he can do if Arise Capital’s bid to buy the club goes through.
Sheffield Wednesday may be hit with a 15-point deduction penalty in League One, but their aim will still be to build a squad capable of competing at that level.

Pedersen has also given his say on his Sheffield Wednesday future, further strengthening the belief that he will oversee the start to their life back in League One.
He opened up on his recent meeting with Storch, claiming that he has a contract with the club for two years, and that he is busy working on preparing the squad for next season.
"I had a good meeting, again, with David to get an update on the situation," said Pedersen, via the BBC.
"They are working really hard to get the best possible condition for Sheffield Wednesday in the future.
"I have a contract for two more years.
"I’d love to stay here, and we've had some really good conversations.
"I'll do all I can to prepare Sheffield Wednesday in the best possible way for our season in League One."
Pedersen also revealed that Sheffield Wednesday are already building plans for free agent transfers from League One and the Championship that they can target this summer.
"This is to plan for pre-season, make profiles for scouting, to get an overview for the free transfers in League One and the Championship," he added.
"There is a lot to do.
"But, we all help each other here.
"We can prepare as good as we can.
"We know what we want.
"It doesn't matter what happens, we can still watch all the players available on a free transfer and still have our profiling.
"There's a lot of things we can do. We are all hopeful and positive about the takeover's next steps."

Sheffield Wednesday’s new owners will receive a big financial boost when they take over, with the club’s wage bill set to receive a significant reduction.
It’s been reported that the Owls have negotiated clauses that will reduce player salaries at a value of between 40 and 50 percent as a result of suffering relegation from the Championship.
This comes amid fears that spending restrictions will be placed on the club as part of Arise Capital’s takeover proposal, with it originally being suggested that they could be capped at a wage bill of £7 million, and individual players could be limited to earning £7,000 per week.
However, these fears have been waved off, with it now being claimed that they were never feasible in the first place.
