Sheffield Wednesday plot loan deal for Man City starlet - he's been out of favour at Hull City
Sheffield Wednesday are looking to end the January transfer window on a high, with the Owls keen on a loan deal for Joel Ndala from Manchester City.
That's according to a report from Alan Nixon, who has revealed that the South Yorkshire outfit are looking to take the winger off the hands of Hull City in the final hours of the window.
The 19-year-old has scored one goal in 17 league games for the Tigers since making the move to the MKM Stadium in the summer, but his game time has been limited recently as Sergej Jarikovic's side have climbed the Championship table.
Now, with Sheffield Wednesday set to lose Bailey Cadamarteri to Wrexham, the club may just have the funds to add not only Marvelous Nakamba to their ranks, but also Ndala.
There are just hours to go until the transfer window comes to an end and clubs across the country have their squads locked in for the final portion of the campaign.
While this season has been extremely difficult for the Owls, they are not ready to down tools yet, and are continuing to try and add to their ranks.

Ndala remains at Hull for now, but Nixon has said that Sheffield Wednesday are hoping that his lack of minutes may inspire Manchester City to change their mind about where he plays his football in the coming months, with more faces needed through the door in S6.
The teenager has made just 19 professional appearances in his career, and all of those have come in East Yorkshire, but this is still plenty of experience that Henrik Pedersen could do with right now.
Nevertheless, the Owls will be forced to wait for Manchester City's decision on their young star and whether he will be allowed to move on from the MKM Stadium or not.
Ndala's only goal in the Championship this season came against Derby County in November, as he bundled the ball over the line at Pride Park to equalise for Hull, but his side were ultimately beaten 2-1 on a rainy night in the East Midlands.

It was arguably his best performance in a Tigers shirt so far, and while he has shown flashes of excellence, he has not quite been able to win over Jarikovic and the return of Liam Millar from injury has pushed the Man City winger down the pecking order.
For Sheffield Wednesday, any signing would be a positive at this late stage of the transfer window, and they will be extremely keen to get this move over the line.
Depth is crucial to Pedersen, and although survival is all but impossible, a move would give the Owls more chance of picking up points.
