Sidny Cabral hails Ivanovic as great example after Benfica winner | OneFootball

Sidny Cabral has praised Franjo Ivanovic’s perseverance after his match-winning goal at Arouca on social media.

According to Glorioso 1904, the winner prompted a flurry of reactions online. The number nine shared images from the game, which later drew replies from team-mates.

Amar Dedic said it was very well deserved. Cabral responded by calling Ivanovic a great example.

The Cape Verde international then posted a photo of Ivanovic’s celebration on his own account, again stating it was fully deserved.

Cabral, Benfica’s number 15 and a winter arrival, is enduring a lean spell. The 23-year-old has not played since 25 February, against Real Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League play-off.

This season Ivanovic, valued at 20 million euros, has made 35 appearances for Benfica. They include 18 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 11 in the Champions League, four in the Taça de Portugal and two in the Taça da Liga, totalling 1,169 minutes with six goals and two assists.
