Juventus are still waiting to formally conclude a deal with PSG to sign Randal Kolo Muani on loan for the remainder of the 2024-25 season, but the Parisians will need to sell one of their current first-team loanees first before the move is completed.

Kolo Muani has already completed his medicals in Turin, but the Bianconeri are unable to formally complete the deal, as PSG already have a maximum of six first team players out on loan at foreign clubs.

As PSG are unable to loan out any more first team players, they will have to either recall one of their players, or sell them permanently in January in order to send Kolo Muani to Juventus.

It has already been reported that Italy U21 international Cher Ndour could be the key to unlocking the transfer, as a number of Serie A clubs are reportedly interested in signing the midfielder, who is currently out on loan in Turkiye with Besiktas.

There are still other options, however.

L’Equipe suggest that West Ham United had been close to making Carlos Soler’s loan move permanent for a €20m fee in January, but the recent sacking of Julen Lopetegui has complicated the matter.

Sunday’s report suggests that Juan Bernat could be another option to resolve the Kolo Muani issue. He has only played in 10 matches for Villarreal this season, nine off the bench, and could be recalled or sold permanently elsewhere this month.

There is also a possibility that Renato Sanches, who is currently out on loan with Benfica, is sold permanently in January.

The two other PSG players out on loan at foreign clubs are Nordi Mukiele at Bayer Leverkusen and Xavi Simons and RB Leipzig, but L’Equpie reports that neither of them are expected to be recalled or sold in January.
