Manchester United Target Tonali and Ederson in Major Midfield Push

Manchester United are preparing an ambitious midfield rebuild, with Sky Sports Italy reporting that the club are working on deals for Sandro Tonali and Ederson.

The report states: “The English club is working for a double blow in midfield. The targets are Sandro Tonali of Newcastle and Ederson of Atalanta.”

That wording matters. This is not framed as casual interest, but as a serious attempt to reshape a key department before United return to the Champions League next season.

Tonali Offers Premier League Pedigree

Tonali would represent a major statement. Since joining Newcastle from Milan in 2023, the Italy international has become one of the Premier League’s most complete midfielders.
