Liverpool will look to cement their place in the next round of the Champions League when they take on Lille on Tuesday night at Anfield.

The Reds are already guaranteed a round-of-16 playoff spot, and they just need a point to secure an automatic qualification spot.

Liverpool are the only side in this competition who have maintained their perfect record of six victories from six matches. They are first in the league phase and boast the joint-best defensive record, having conceded just once.

Arne Slot’s side are heading into this game on the back of a 2-0 win over Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium last Saturday, and the Reds will be looking to maintain their impressive run of form.

With Liverpool on the brink of qualification, Slot can afford to make a few changes from the previous game to rotate the squad and give rest to some of his key players.

Alisson Becker is likely to continue to goal, and the Brazilian will be looking to keep another clean sheet.

Ibrahima Konate made headlines this week with his contract talks admission, and Slot could be tempted to drop him to the bench. He has recently returned from an injury, and with some key matches coming up, he can take a breather. Jarrell Quansah can partner alongside Virgil van Dijk.

Kostas Tsimikas needs more games, and he should continue. There are suggestions that Andy Robertson has been suffering from a burn-out, and Slot can use him from the bench if required.

Conor Bradley is back to full fitness, and the fixture provides the best opportunity for the Dutch manager to reintegrate him into the side.

In midfield, Ryan Gravenberch is undroppable. But Harvey Elliott deserves a chance after his fantastic performance against Brentford. Curtis Jones hasn’t started in the last few games. So, Elliott and Jones both can start without hampering the balance and quality of the side.

Darwin Nunez scored twice in the previous game, and he would be buzzing at the moment. With Diogo Jota out injured, the 25-year-old should be looking to wreak havoc in the Champions League, with Luis Diaz most likely to pave the way for him.

Predicted Liverpool starting XI: Alisson, Van Dijk, Quansah, Tsimikas, Bradley, Jones, Gravenberch, Elliott, Salah, Gakpo, Nunez.
