During his media briefing after the Galatasaray match, Liverpool manager Arne Slot delivered a significant update regarding his first-choice goalkeeper. He confirmed that Alisson Becker sustained an injury severe enough to sideline him for the upcoming Premier League fixture.
Slot stated, “It’s never a positive sign when a player has to leave the pitch like that. Alisson will not be able to play on Saturday.”
This development means the Brazilian international will be unavailable for selection when the team travels to face Chelsea this Saturday, compounding the disappointment of the 1-0 European defeat.
