According to reports from Fichajes, Chelsea are preparing a massive €80 million bid to lure Real Madrid forward Rodrygo to Stamford Bridge during the upcoming winter transfer window.
The Premier League side are said to be determined to strengthen their attacking options after a mixed start to the season, and manager Enzo Maresca sees Rodrygo as a crucial addition to his long-term project.
It must be noted that despite his undeniable quality, Rodrygo’s situation at Real Madrid has grown complicated under Xabi Alonso.
The forward has struggled for consistent minutes, registering only 348 minutes of action so far this season across La Liga and the Champions League.
His limited involvement has reportedly left him frustrated and uncertain about his role at the club.
At Real Madrid, the mood regarding Rodrygo is mixed. The club recognises his immense potential and professional attitude, but also admits that his current trajectory is not what they had envisioned when he first arrived.

The London giants are believed to be constructing an attack around Alejandro Garnacho, Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro, and Rodrygo, a combination designed to inject both flair and long-term promise into the squad.
The Blues are willing to take the financial risk, convinced that Rodrygo’s talent and youth make him a worthwhile investment.
For Real Madrid, however, the decision is far from straightforward. Selling Rodrygo could leave a significant void in their offensive setup, forcing the club to search for a suitable replacement mid-season.
Still, if the player pushes for an exit and Chelsea’s €80 million proposal becomes formal, the Spanish giants may find themselves seriously considering it.
As things stand, Rodrygo values consistent playing time and an important role over prestige.
The next few weeks could be decisive for his future and Chelsea appear ready to make their move.
