Southampton’s Robinson ‘to join’ Serie A side Monza on season-long loan | OneFootball

Southampton winger Jay Robinson, 19, is reportedly set to join Serie A side Monza on a season-long loan, according to Fabrizio Romano, who says an agreement is in place.

Robinson began last season as a first-team regular, making 28 appearances and scoring against Ipswich Town and QPR.

His involvement tailed off after January, with only one outing in the second half of the campaign.

Pre-season minutes have also been scarce, totalling 115 across behind-closed-doors friendlies with Paderborn and Preussen Münster.

Monza are managed by former Saints boss Ivan Juric and were promoted from Italy’s second tier last term. Robinson did not play under Juric, who departed one match before the winger’s Premier League debut. The proposed deal is reportedly without a buy option.
