Spain rounded off their preparations for the 2026 World Cup with a comfortable 3-1 victory over Peru in Puebla on Monday night.
Despite being without Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams, Luis de la Fuente's side made a flying start. Mikel Oyarzabal opened the scoring after just two minutes, finishing off a fine individual move with an unstoppable effort.
La Roja remained in control and doubled their lead in the 32nd minute when Pedri converted Ferran Torres' low cross. The match was effectively settled shortly after the break, as Peru goalkeeper Pedro Gallese inadvertently turned Yéremy Pino's dangerous delivery into his own net.
Peru did pull one back on 66 minutes through Jairo Vélez, who finished after an excellent pass from Marcos López, but Spain never looked troubled.
Spain now turn their attention to Group H at the World Cup, where they will face Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay, beginning their campaign on 15 June.
