Spanish media: FC Barcelona working on Ivan Perisic

According to the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are working on a move for PSV’s Ivan Perisic.

As De Telegraaf explain, coach Hansi Flick wants to work with Perisic again, after their time together at Bayern Munich.

PSV may have to act quickly, as the 36-year-old Perisic can be picked up on a free transfer in Eindhoven, where his contract has expired. PSV assumed for a long time that they could keep the Croatian at the Philips Stadion for another season, although Perisic has never made it a secret that he would like to experience one final adventure at a top European club.

Mundo Deportivo writes that Perisic’s salary demands shouldn’t be a problem for Barcelona. The most important thing for the winger is to play at the top level for another year in order to best prepare himself for the 2026 World Cup with Croatia in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
